So which to pick?
The start of a new year begins… Today!
I guess it’ll be apt to reflect on the past year? If i had to summarize it in a sentence, I would describe it as a year where I learnt to made decisions, not minor but major decisions and self discovery.
The year started off with me having to decide whether to choose the route of entering a JC to take my A levels or pursuing a diploma at a Polytechnic. Well, eventually I chose the latter option. To be honest, I’ve never really enjoyed style of desperately studying books day and night. Not trying to imply Poly is easy, it has its fair share of hard work thats requires in order to secure an A. Especially with the ridiculous amount of presentations and suffocatingly near deadlines.
The first semester commenced sometime after our postings were released. Like I mentioned in the paragraph above, poly is not as easy as it advertises itself to be. It is all lies the schools use to attract students! LOL.
My first term break of the semester was spent going for CIBTC, and to be honest once again, I really didn’t understand why I chose to go for it. Yes, I wanted to serve my unit. But was that a strong enough reason to want to go for it? Especially since I went with the knowledge that either me or Arshad would get out-posted.
During the Modular Courses and Residental Course I reached the lowest moment I could have of my NPCC journey. Was both mentally drained and physically sick (I suffered from fever and cough for like 2weeks?!) and I really almost did choose to just give up. Have to credit my ability of completing the course to Arshad, Khengwee, Juliana, Xinyun and other Charlie Squadmates. Without their encouragement I wouldn’t have pulled through. Probably would have OOC-ed at the start? Haha.
The ending of the course also marked the start of deciding what type of CI i would like to be. I started serving a new school and going for various events such as Range Duty , ATC/STCs, HRC course and D11′s committee of instructors. Made quite a number of good friends along the way and I really really learnt a lot and am looking forward to learn more 
What I personally feel that is a CI duties is not to only want to serve their own unit cadets, but really to serve the core itself. Which means to be willing to serve a new school, an area and of course our HQ. that’s what I learnt in my short 6months (:
There’s lots more that happened where I struggled to handle the preparations for D11 and yet balance my studies + social life, but I’m sort of lazy to type everything out. It’ll just make this post extremely wordy~ maybe I’ll post them another time when I feel like it. heh heh heh. Excuses I know

D11 Committee for teaching me so much more than I ever knew. And of course the experience where we pushed ourself to new limits. Thanks you really!
